Gibbemeyer 1.88 tall, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she attended college in his state.
At youth level she played at Northern Lights Volleyball Club and won the U.S. Junior Championship in its class in 2006.
With the University of Minnesota came up to the National Final Four in 2009, they were beaten in the semifinals by the University of Texas.
With the national junior won the NORCECA 2006, while with the national team won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games of 2011, where it was awarded as Best blocker.
Last season he played in the Japanese championship with the Toyota Auto Body Queenseis.
