Some eight months later these sides will cross their ways once more but this time in Europe’s most elitist competition. Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO has significantly changed its roster by signing great players like Valentina Arrighetti, Margareta Kozuch, Maren Brinker, Juliann Faucette, while Galatasaray – mentored by Italian-born Massimo Barbolini – has signed Simona Gioli, one of the most decorated players of the past decade.
BUSTO ARSIZIO and Galatasaray opened their first campaign in the Champions League by scoring two 3:1 wins over Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI and ASPTT MULHOUSE, so the result of this clash will determine the provisional leader of Pool C.
“We are very excited to play our first home match in the Champions League with our great fans in attendance. I think Galatasaray got even stronger than last year, so we feel ready for a great game” says libero Giulia Leonardi.
