ITA W: New CEV rules, finalists in Champions League

Italian Serie A1 will have two representatives in the Champions League according to new CEV rules. The winner of the Cup will play in the CEV Cup.

The winner of the Italian Cup will no longer play in the Champions League, but in the CEV Cup.

Acces to the European Cups in 2013/2014 season will be determined by rankings based on the season 2012/2013 results.

1. Scudetto winner (Chamions League)

2. Scudetto finalist (Champions League)

3. Cup winner (CEV Cup)

4. Team that is placed better at the end of the regular season, excluding the teams above (CEV Cup)

5. Team that is placed better at the end of the regural season, excluding the teams above (Challenge Cup)

If the winner of the Cup plays in the Scudetto finals, teams 4,5 will move up one step.
