After concluding a successful collaboration with the Argentinean Facundo Conte (EMS Taubaté Funvic, Brazil) and Frenchman Julien Lyneel (Jastrzębski Węgiel, Poland), which resulted with the club’s fourth national title in a row, Shanghai have formed a new foreign dynamic duo – Sabbi and Čebulj, volleyball.it reported.

The Italian opposite Giulio Sabbi is familiar with playing in Shanghai as he was involved in one of these four titles – in the 2015/16. He had some physical problems in Azimut Modena last season which prevented him to be at his best but still was summoned to compete in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League with Italy national team.

As for the Slovenian outside hitter Klemen Čebulj, he initially signed for Modena for the 2018/19 but suddenly disappeared from their plans. He averaged 11.3 points in Revivre Milano last season.
