Legendary Japanese Women’s volleyball player Saori Kimura announced retirement earlier, but did not spoke of this until last night when she played her final match.

A 30-year-old player, who took four national titles with Toray Arrows and bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympic Games with Japanese NT, took part in the V-League All-Star Game in Fukaya, last night, and competed for the last time.

„I announce that I will retire from the active playing as of the end of this month. I have received a lot of gratitude and was supported by a lot of people. Now I am full of feelings and appreciation and that while I was still active. I was not ready to give interviews until now. On the other hand, thank you for your understanding. I will try my best to answer to everything today, so thank you,“ Kimura said after the last night’s exhibition.
