The Mariners played their final scrimmage matches at the Baja California High Performance Center Multipurpose Gym against the Baja California team. In the last one, the Canadians won in straight sets 30-28, 25-22, 25-21 against the Local State Elite Team.
“Facilities are great and so the weather and the atmosphere We noticed that since the time of our arrival,” said Avender. “We had the chance to be at the court and also in the swimming pool, and tried to get the best of this stay.”
The head coach also remarked that this camp abroad is part of their preparation for their second semester at the Pacific Western Athletic Association Season. The circuit is part of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) that works similar to the U.S. NCAA model.
