In the absence of the first-placed Tianjin (had a day off due to an odd number of teams in the competition), three of the top four teams in the first stage of the 2020/21 Super League regular season for women have recorded wins at the start of the second stage: Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Shanghai. They all swept their rivals.

Jiangsu (Zhang Changning 12 points) beat Yunnan, Guangdong (American Kelsey Robinson 21 points, Bulgarian Dobriana Rabadzhieva 88 % reception; 81 % perfect) were better than Fujian, while Shanghai (Yang Jie, German Louisa Lippmann, and Zhong Hui 10 points, American Jordan Larson 75 % reception; 42 % perfect) prevailed over Hebei.
