A destination of the MVP of the last Olympic women’s volleyball tournament, Zhu Ting, in the next season attracts a lot of attention these days in the Chinese media and beyond.

Although 2020/21 is well underway, the rich clubs in Europe and beyond have already started to negotiate with potential reinforcements for the next season.

The new contract for the 2021/22 season of the Chinese superstar Zhu Ting has attracted attention from the media in her country but also beyond. Elite Do Vôlei reported earlier that she rejected the VakıfBank’s offer of 1.6 million euros to come to the club, for which she competed for 3 seasons prior to returning to China in 2019, due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation. Actually, according to the writings back then, Zhu promised to return to the Istanbul club as soon as the Toyko Olympic Games end, which was supposed to be last year but was postponed for this summer.

Several foreign clubs now see the chance to hire the MVP of the 2016 Rio Games. Allegedly, the player received offers from Unet e-work Busto Arsizio and Savino Del Bene Scandicci (both Italy), Dinamo-Ak Bars (Russia), Galatasaray HDI Sigorta (Turkey), and Sesc RJ Flamengo (Brazil).

Even if Zhu stays in China, media in the country aren’t optimistic about her renewal with the defending champions Tianjin. In fact, as Sohu published, Guangdong and the newly formed Shenzhen China-Serbia are the two teams that will fight for Zhu’s signature when it comes to the Super League teams.
