Maaseik, Belgium, January 27, 2012. After scoring a 3:1 home victory this past December, Noliko MAASEIK edged once again Prefaxis MENEN also in the return match of the national cup semifinals thereby advancing to the last stage of the competition that is scheduled for February 12 in the splendid “Lotto Arena” in Antwerp. Euphony ASSE-LENNIK – that this year debuted in the CEV Volleyball Champions League – will be the next and last opponent for Noliko along the way to the trophy.

With only a few days to go for the Playoffs round in Europe’s most elitist competition against the triple European and World champions of TRENTINO PlanetWin365, Noliko was longing for a quick win against MENEN to save some energy for what is supposed to be the real and major highlight of the season.

This mission was almost accomplished as Noliko opened strongly to seize the first two sets (25-20, 25-21) before Prefaxis MENEN got back into the game by taking home set 3 with the score of 25-23. However, Noliko got back control of the match by comfortably going up 16:7 and 20:11 in the fourth set and eventually pocketed the ticket for the final by wrapping it up at 25-17.

Noliko and Prefaxis MENEN will cross once again their ways this Sunday, January 28, for the next round of the national league with the match taking place this time at “Lotto Dôme” in Maaseik.
