Whole game was very steady and without any turnarounds. First set started calmly. Czech Republic had a minimal advantage untill the first technical time out and then Bulgaria just ran past them. Difference just grew bigger and higher and at the end was at ten points in favor of Bulgaria, 25-15.
Difference in second period was smaller at the end but Czechs never really had a chance to come near to Bulgarian team. Bratoev and Sokolov found their connection early on and because of that it was rather easy for Kamilo Placi’s team to dominate. After a steady and secure performance in second period, result was 25-18.
Then they got complacent and underastimated Czech Republic. Konecny got hot and Czechs were able to narrow down their deficit to only one set. 22-25.
Attackers in white (Bulgarian jersey color) shifted up to another gear and simply destroyed every attempt of defence from Czech Republic. Bulgaria never trailed in fourth set and finished it of with 25-21 score.
