VELUX Ace Contest

Since the start of the Championship Volleyball fans have been voting on a specially designed webpage for one of the clubs nominated by each of the 16 federations whose national teams have been competing in the final round of the 2013 CEV VELUX Volleyball European Championship – Men.
In the end the club of TV Bliesen e.V. (Germany) got the highest number of votes to take home 50% of the pot at stake while MKS MDK Warszawa (Poland) and Chemes Humenné (Slovakia) finished in second and third place respectively to be awarded with 35 and 15% of the money collected since the beginning of the Championship. The checks were awarded to the presidents of the respective national federations by VELUX Chief Marketing Officer, Michael K. Rasmussen, right after completion of the first set of the gold medal match starring Russia and Italy.

This action follows up on the special campaign “Fair Play. Volleyball Way” launched by CEV this past June as all nominees were selected by their respective national federation in recognition of their extraordinary work in promoting fair play. The fans who throughout the past 10 days cast their ballots on that webpage have joined a special contest whereby they can win a jersey of their favorite national team signed by all players who did star in the final round of the 2013 CEV VELUX EuroVolley. The winners will be drawn in the coming days and contacted by VELUX.
