The Panthers bring in an impressive track record as one of the top teams in the national league. The Japanese club will surely put up a good fight against the top men’s club teams.

Due to retirement of two long-time national team members and Panasonic Panthers forerunners Daisuke Usami and Takahiro Yamamoto, the Panthers will now have to count on their wingmen Kunihiro Shimizu and Tatsuya Fukuzawa.

Shimizu and Fukuzawa, both outstanding members of the national team, will lead the Panthers to their aim of advancing in the semifinals of the Club Championship and gain international recognition for the Japanese style of play.

Along with Shimizu and Fukuzawa, Brazilian national team member Dante Amaral will raise the Panthers’ game a notch higher. Dante boasts a winning record of one gold and two silvers at the Olympic Games, three World Championship titles, two golds and a bronze medal at the World Cup, and seven World League titles.
