Egypt’s men's national volleyball team has claimed one of the three tickets reserved for Africa in the 2014 FIVB World Championships that will be held in Poland from August 30 to September 21.

The African champions defeated Cape Verde 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-16) to complete the qualification Pool “U” tournament played in Nairobi with a clean sheet of four victories.
Egypt achieved their first victory of the tournament after beating Kenya 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20) and went on to beat Zambia 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15) before recording their third win of the tournament with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-9) victory against Botswana.
