CZE W: Havelková switches to beach volleyball, will try to compete in Paris Olympics

One of the best Czech female players ever, Helena Havelková, retired from competing in indoor volleyball but will start playing one other variant of it.

Just 2 days after completing the regular season in Italian Serie A with the jersey of Bartoccini-Fortinfissi Perugia, where she served as a captain, the prominent name of the Czech women’s volleyball, Havelková, said goodbye to indoor volleyball on social media.

However, a 33-year-old outside hitter posted that she’ll start playing the second most popular variant of volleyball. Best Outside Spiker of the 2014/15 CEV Champions League will switch to beach volley, trying to fulfill a dream of competing in the next Olympics in Paris in this particular discipline.
