BIH M: 7-year domination of Mladost comes to end – Kakanj claim 13th national title

OK Kakanj 78 are the new men’s volleyball club champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After 9 years, OK Kakanj 78 took the title of the Bosnian men’s champions. The club that entered the playoffs as 2nd-seed celebrated the win in the thrilling 2nd game of the playoff finals of the 2021/22 Premijer Liga Muškarci against No.4 HOK Domaljevac with the result 3-2. With the victory in 2 final matches, Kakanj 78 were crowned champions for the 13th time in the club history by which the 7-year domination of OK Mladost Brčko (the regular-season winners, eliminated in the semis to Domaljevac) came to an end.

Edin Mehić top-scored Kakanj in Game 2 with 19 points. Marko Tadić made 76% reception (41 digs, 7 errors) and 73% attack (11/15).
