The final squad of 14 players of the national team of The Netherlands for the 2022 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship has been announced.
The Dutch National Team head coach, Avital Selinger, announced his selection of 14 players for the World Champs 2022, which his nation will co-host with Poland and which starts on Friday in Arnhem. The ‘Oranje’ has recently trained with a larger group to prepare as broadly and optimally as possible for the event. Today the group has been reduced to the maximum number of 14 players, of which six players will compete in the World Championship for the first time (Savelkoel, Reesink, Knollema, Dambrink, Timmerman, and Daalderop).
The Netherlands will play the World Champs with these players:
Setters: Britt Bongaerts, Laura Dijkema.
Opposite hitters: Celeste Plak, Elles Dambrink.
Outside hitters: Anne Buijs, Nika Daalderop, Fleur Savelkoel, Marrit Jasper, Jolien Knollema.
Middle blockers: Juliët Lohuis, Eline Timmerman, Tessa Polder.
Liberos: Myrthe Schoot, Florien Reesink.
