Nicola Negro is the new head coach of the Mexico Women’s Volleyball National Team.
Nicola Negro, the current Brazilian women’s Superliga champion with Gerdau Minas, was announced by the Mexican federation (FMVB) on its social media accounts as the new head coach of the country’s women’s national team. The Italian expert will be introduced to the players and will lead the Mexicans after the end of the league in Brazil. This way, the option of his sitting on the Argentina Women’s National Team bench turned out to be just a wish of “Las Panteras“.
According to the FMVB, Negro will effectively take charge of the Mexican coaching staff in April. Then, he’ll command Samantha Bricio and teammates at the Central American Games in San Salvador and at the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, which will be held at the end of June and October, respectively.
The Mexico Women’s National Team currently occupies 20th place in the FIVB world ranking.
