Serbian Women’s Volleyball Team Gears Up for European Championship 2023

On August 15, the reigning European vice-champion and World Champion, the Serbian senior women’s national volleyball team, is set to embark on their journey to Belgium for the prestigious European Championship 2023, spanning from August 15 to September 3.

Under the guidance of the head coach, Giovanni Guidetti, the finalized roster for this European adventure has been unveiled:

  • Setters: Maja Ognjenović, Bojana Drča
  • Opposites: Tijana Bošković, Ana Bjelica
  • Liberos: Teodora Pušić, Aleksandra Jegdić
  • Middle Blockers: Jovana Stevanović, Mina Popović, Maja Aleksić, Hena Kurtagić
  • Outside Hitters: Bjanka Buša, Sara Lozo, Katarina Lazović, Aleksandra Uzelac

Stationed in Ghent, the Serbian squad will compete in Group A of the championship, pitting their skills against teams of Belgium, Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine, and Hungary. This edition of EuroVolley promises thrilling action across four countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Estonia.
