In the men’s competition, Menen made history by claiming their first-ever major trophy, defeating Roeselare 3-1. After a balanced start, Roeselare took the lead in the first set and won 27-25, but Menen rallied to win the second set 25-22, tying the game at 1-1.
The third set saw a neck-and-neck contest, with both teams tied at 13-13. Menen pulled ahead to win the set 25-23, carrying their momentum into the fourth set. They dominated early, racing to a 15-10 lead and closing out the set 25-18. Menen’s victory marks a significant moment for the team and their new coach Julien Lemay.
