In the third round of the Slovenian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Calcit Volley secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over GEN-I Volley.
The absence of Calcit’s star player, Maša Pucelj, seemed to hinder the team early on, as they struggled in the first set, losing 25-13. However, Calcit Volley regrouped under coach Bruno Najdic and took control by winning the second and third sets comfortably. Although GEN-I Volley fought back in the fourth set to force a tie-break, Calcit dominated the decisive set, winning 15-7.
Top scorers for Calcit included Anja Maček with 18 points and Lara Rituper with 15. For GEN-I Volley, Nevena Vukčević led with 17 points.
