Canada coach Glenn Hoag: “The guys really prepared for this. It was bizarre, we took advantages in every set and then scuttled three or four point advantages.

Gavin Schmitt was a one-man offence tonight, he was the only player putting balls away with regularity. Everybody else was pretty inconsistent, and at this level that’s deadly.

Australia coach Jon Uriarte: “It’s about the team, going through the tough process. This World League has been very demanding, a lot of things we were requesting our players improve, and tonight many of those things came together.”

“Learning what it means to play at home is another new thing for us. The change between our first weekend in Canberra and here has been an incredible evolution.”
