Heins
Three players left the team – Stijn Held, Wouter ter Maat and Williem Maarten Heins! Held moved to Orion, Wouter will continue career in Gent (Belgium), while, believe it or not, Heins has decided to retire at age 27!
“I spent three years here and I won everything and fulfilled my dreams. In the last few years I’ve been working as professor of English so I am going to continue with it. I’m leaving volleyball” says Heines.
But, there is good news from Landstede as well. The Dutch champions signed contracts with two players – Jelle Hilarius and Stijn van Schie.
Hilarius is back in Landstede after spending few years abroad. In the last season he played in Romania (Stiinta Baia). Van Schie came from domestic league team, Vocasa.
