Puerto Rico – Poland
Having a great support by the home fans in Carolina, Puerto Rican players were resilient in overpowering Poland after visitors returned into the match in the second set.
Puerto Rico was led by Karina Ocasio who scored a game-high of 24 points. Anna Grejman scored 15 for Poland.
In Pool P (Group 3), Peru came back among the leading duo (with Colombia) after defeating Cuba in straigh sets at home court in Trujillo with 16 from Ángela Leyva.
On the other side, Melissa Vargas had 19 points.
