FIVB decided that the next World League edition will have 12 teams in the Group 1, while the same number of teams will compete in the Group 2!
These are the teams which will play in the second rank of the World League 2016:
Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, Slovakia, Japan, South Korea, Finland, Cuba, Canada, China, Egypt and Czech Republic.
The most important thing about the new format of the World League Group 2 is that the winner will not advance to the Group 1 Final Six, like it was in the previous two years!!!
The competition formula is the same like in Group 1 – 3 weeks, 4 tournaments on each weekend. The only difference is that there will be Final Four at the end, with top 3 teams from the main stage + host of the final tournament.
