Japanese team kept more or less chance to claim one of first two spots at the FIVB World Cup in Japan after destroying Algeria 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-6).

Japan is now fourth on the standings with two more rounds to be played, being only 1 win and 3 points behind the leading duo. We remind you that spots number one and two secure qualification for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

Yuki Ishii scored 13 points for an Asian side which produced 11 aces overall in the match. Nadira Ait Oumghar collected six in another embarassement of Algeria on the tournament. Recall that Algeria finished few games on the WC by scoring less than 25 points in total!

South Korea totally controlled the match against Kenya to score a perfect 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-19) win in Round 9.

Kim Yeon-Koung placed 20 points on Kenyan side, while Mercy Moim finished with 10 points for the Africans.
