Back then at EuroVolley 2013, Belgium and Serbia played in a bronze medal match and Belgian squad won by 3-2. Neither side forgot that clash, so Serbian team have already stated that they would like to play against Belgium again this year.
Laura Heyrman obviously read those statements…
“The game against Serbia will be a tough fight. They present a real strong team and they have already warned us that they want a revenge for the loss in the bronze medal match in Berlin two years ago. If we want to win, we’ll have to play in an all-or-nothing mood,” commented the Belgian international.
