He and his partner Bruno Schmidt, reigning world champions, shut out Luciano & Marcio Araujo by 2-0 (21-19, 21-17) in the final and topped the domestic rankings with 1560 points. This is the fifth gold for Alison & Bruno Schmidt on the Tour since 2014.

“It was a wonderful year! I only have to thank God. My family, girlfriend, friends, they were together at all times; this spectacular coaching staff, my partner Bruno… It is shivering to remember 2015, because this is my life; and it is great to finish it with this amazing gold.  I am turning 30, I went through many things and it is impossible to be any happier,” said Alison.

“We work more loosely in this stage.  It is a way to charge positively at the end of this season. What we planned, we won deservedly. In these last two months we played a little lighter. Nothing better than having fun and playing with pleasure, but… always with commitment!” added Bruno.

In the third place match, Evandro & Pedro Solberg claimed a 2-1 (21-18, 16-21, 15-10) victory over Gustavo & Saymon and took the bronze.

On the women’s side, the medals will be distributed on Sunday. The program starts at 09:00 local time with the third place match between Duda & Elize Maia and Rachel & Angela, followed by the final between Juliana & Maria Elisa and Larissa & Talita.
