Currently third placed team in Ethias League, but with only three points and one win less than the leaders Volley Asse-Lennik, made this decision for the good of the team.
Maaseik thanked Italian expert Torchio for his dedication and commitment to the club.
It is currently unclear who will be the new head coach. Until decision becomes official, the current staff will take over the training.
In 2016, Maaseik will continue their battle for the title in Belgium and try to secure playoff spot in the CEV Champions League in the last two rounds in which they have only theoretical chances to achieve that goal.
