Slovenia edged Montenegro in straight sets (27-25, 25-11, and 25-22). The first set was extremely close and Montenegro had a couple of players, Tatjana Bokan and Tijana Jakic, who scored with impressive consistency in attack and in blocking.

Jakic even contributed a set ball for Montenegro at 24:23 before Slovenia’s team captain Marina Cvetanovic could seal this section of the game at 27-25. Slovenia clearly dominated the scene in set 2 especially via the serving turns of Marina Kaucic but the score got tight once more in the third set, where Montenegro could save two match points before once again Cvetanovic and Monika Potokar could finalize the 3:0 win for their side.
