The FPV will contribute to this promotion by broadcasting messages about cancer throughout the live showing of the match between Castelo da Maia GC and SC Espinho, which will take place Saturday, Ocotber 27 at 15h35 (GMT).

Both teams’ players and coaches will also contribute to the campaign, and fans will once again be asked to support a cause promoted by Volleyball Solidarity.

The initiative furthers a partnership established between the FPV and the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC). The FPV is committed to publicising the LPCC’s activities in the fight against cancer, such as a national fundraising drive that will take place November 1 to 4.

According to the LPCC, the national drive: “is the most important source of financing to enable a proper response to frequent aid requests. It is also an important channel for promoting the LPCC across geographical regions of the country, and the funds raised ensure the continuity of key projects.
