The preliminary round of the ninth Asian Youth Boy’s Volleyball Championship ended on Friday with Iran, China, Korea and Japan finishing top in their respective pools. Joining the top four teams in the next round are Sri Lanka, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and India.

Joining the top four teams in the next round are Sri Lanka, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and India who finished runner-up in the pools.

The top four team of the Championship will secure tickets to the FIVB world Youth boys’ championship of Mexico in next year.

The eight teams, who are to fighting for the top eight rankings, are divided into two pools for classification round. Pool E consists of Iran, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Chinese Taipei and Pool F is made of China, India, Thailand, and Japan. There are two other groups that will fight for the 9th to 11th place (pool G: Australia; pool H: Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan).
