Chinese women’s league: Kim keeps Shanghai undefeated, Liaoning defeat reigning champions

After five rounds in Chinese women's volleyball league, three teams are still with a perfect score.

Kim Yeon Koung is keeping Shanghai perfect in this season. The Korean star has scored 13 points in 3-0 win over Yun Nan University 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.

Beijing have also scored the victory in the fifth round. They defeated Shangdong in straight sets 25-15, 25-23, 25-21. Liu Xiatong was the best scorer with 19 points in the home team, while Carly Wopat added 12…

The reigning champions Jiangsu have suffered the first defeat in 2017/2018 season. Lianoning defeated them in four sets 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24 to keep their winning streak since the beginning of the season. Duan Fang led her team to the victory with 20 points, while on the other side Zhang Changing ended the game with 23 points.

Liaoning – Jiangsu 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24)

Bayi – Guangdong 3-2 (21-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 15-13)

Beijing – Shandong 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-21)

Fujian – Henan 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23)

Hebei – Tianjin 0-3 (19-25, 17-25, 14-25)

Yun Nan University – Shanghai 0-3 (14-25, 18-25, 14-25)
