One of the Chemik players was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, the Polish champions published. The Police club didn’t reveal which of the players was tested positive for the coronavirus but stressed that the other players and staff members have no symptoms. However, from today, the entire team is under a 10-day quarantine.
Due to this, Chemik suspended their preparations, including the sparring matches against Germany’s Dresdner SC that were to take place in the coming days. The players will start to train individually until the end of the quarantine. More importantly, Chemik’s first official match in the new season, against Developres SkyRes Rzeszów in the Polish Super Cup, is questioned given that is scheduled for September 11, and the quarantine of the Chemik’s players will last until September 12.
