“We know that this is a tremendous challenge for all of us but we are very excited and can’t wait for the start of the competition. We have involved some 400 volunteers, and the majority will accompany us all the way from the prelims up to the final weekend in Copenhagen. The ticket sale has been going well and we have fans from as many as 31 countries which are set to visit the semis and finals. We are grateful to our partners from Poland who have shared their knowledge and expertise with us and have supervised some activities in the lead-up to the Championship. We expect some more fans to buy tickets in the coming days and we know already that some 600 VIPs will visit us for the finals”.
Everything is going well also in Poland where the matches of the home heroes at ERGO Arena in Gdansk will be sold-out.
“We are playing in the most modern sports venue in our country where we have hosted the World League Finals and some more international events so we are confident that we can live up to the expectations of the Volleyball family” said Woytek Czayka of the Polish Volleyball Federation.
“Gdynia is also ready to welcome four strong teams and their fans”.
