Poland’s men’s national team head coach, Nikola Grbic, discussed the challenging decisions behind finalizing the roster for the Paris 2024 Olympics in an interview with Marta Ćwiertniewicz for Polsat Sport. Grbic emphasized that his choices were based on selecting players with significant experience from the past three seasons, believing their experience would be advantageous.
Grbic described the decision-making process as the toughest of his coaching career, especially informing players that they wouldn’t be joining the team in Paris. He acknowledged the difficulty and logic behind each player’s disappointment but reiterated that only 13 spots were available, necessitating strategic selections.
