The second game in Tehran this weekend was probably the most important so far for these two teams. Iran needed a clean win to take over the second place in the Pool, while Polish crew were hoping at least for two sets just to remain in front of their hosts…
But, red and whites have taken a lot more than that! Poland has won the match and collected all three points from this match!!!
Despite playing once again without injured Bartosz Kurek, away squad was simply brilliant. Jakub Jarosz played perhaps his best game so far in the World League 2015. He scored 22 points, while Mateusz Mika added 14, Mateusz Bienek 11, Michal Kubiak 11… Team play!
Now, Poland has two wins and five points more than Iran… And there are only two rounds left to be played in the group stage. Squad led by Stephane Antiga is therefore just a step away from securing the spot at the World League Final-Six!

We are proud of our team. Its just three years that we have advanced to world league but we can defeat the teams who have been in this tournament many years before us. They insulted our nation because they consider us a threat for their team. It doesn’t matter at all.
