“Piotr Nowakowski, who is suffering from intervertebral hernia (back injury) will undergo surgery on Tuesday. Regarding the length of break from playing, it should take several months, about four,” said doctor of Poland’s National Team.

It undoubtedly means that Nowakowski will miss European Qualification Tournament for the Summer Olympic Games in Rio, which is scheduled for January.

Due to injury, Nowakowski didn’t play at the 2015 European Championships in October and in all previous matches for his club, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, this season.

Recall that Resovia’s coach was the first to announce bad news about Nowakowski’s injury, six days ago.
