Anastasi
Italian volleyball coach arrived in Gdansk in 2014 and he had a wonderful debut season at the bench of Lotos Trefl. The club won the Polish Cup in 2014/15 season and became the vice-champion of the PlusLiga.
Therefore, Lotos Trefl Gdansk decided to sign a new two-year deal with Anastasi last summer that will expire at the end of the 2016/17 season, while the club management want to keep the Italian coach in Gdansk even longer.
According to sportowefakty.wp.pl, Lotos Trefl Gdansk are in advanced talks with Andrea Anastasi regarding his contract extension!
“We are very pleased to work with Andrea Anastasi. There is no denying that he is doing an excellent job here in Gdansk. He created something great here and we hope that he will develop it even further. I can only say that we are talking with Anastasi about the contract extension and I may be able to say something more about that matter very soon. I will tell you that I have a hunch that Anastasi will stay in Gdansk for a long time…” said Lotos Trefl Gdansk president Dariusz Gadomski.
