In the interview for przegladsportowy.pl, Gavin Schmitt revealed what is actually the case of his injury.

“I somehow suffered re-fracture of tibia bone in my right leg. It is the same bone I had surgery on, however the doctors stated that I do need to undergo another surgery. They said that with a careful treatment, the bone should heal and I would be able to get back to volleyball. According to the latest prognosis, I should be able to start with trainings in a few weeks,” said Schmitt who thanked Asseco Resovia for showing a big understanding.

“My club really helped me a lot. They were in touch with me for the whole time and they were involved in finding the best option for my recovery. Surely, I want to finally be able to play for Asseco Resovia, as it is really torturing me to sit aside, without any chance of helping my teammates.”
