Asseco Resovia volleyball players went to Czestochowa on Thursday with one decision. “We will do whatever it takes to win there and start the season since winning the first trophy” said the attacker Asseco Resovia, Jochen Schöps.

At Jasna Gora coach Andrew Smith took thirteen players, including convalescent: Aleh Akhrem, Nikola Kovacevic and Piotr Nowakowski. The first two suffer from health problems, back pain, and the second in the tournament last Saturday sprained ankle.

“Everyone has some problems there. We must do everything in order to prepare best for this match. We’re going there to win. I think that we can win” coach says Smith, who does not expect a great form of his team on Saturday. “You have really a few months to prepare team in our league. At the beginning of the season everyone will be played perfectly at the moment, but the quality of the game will be gradually raised” Polish champions trainer added.

Motivation of Asseco Resovia before Saturday’s match is high. “It would be great to get the trophy, but I promise that this will be done” says Maciej Dobrowolski and adds: Skra knows us, there will be no surprise. In both teams there are a few new players. Paul Lotman and Rafael Buszek excel very well, but it will be easier for them to play, knowing that they have the support”  Asseco Resovia seter said.

After leaving Bartosz Kurek, Marcin Możdżonek and Miguel Falasca increasingly there are calls that team from Belchatow is weaker than in previous years.

“I do not agree with this opinion” says Maciej Dobrowolski after five years playing in Skra.
