Some clubs who’ll play the 2020/21 Superliga revealed the new regulations that will be applied as a precaution to reduce infection and spreading COVID-19.
First of all, persons arriving from regions that are most affected by COVID-19 or from abroad are to be isolated for a period of 14 days at home or at a training base if there are no risks for other persons. A condition for overcoming the isolation of individuals is the presence of repeated negative PCR tests.
As for matches themselves, the condition for admission of the team to the match is the presence of negative PCR tests of all participants not older than 48 hours prior to the date of the match. Supporting documents must be sent to the host club at least 24 hours before the match.
Thus, the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) became the first national federation to impose regulations against the coronavirus for the upcoming club season. Hopefully, other federations will follow its footsteps.
