The home guys of Russia claimed on Wednesday their second win at “Volley” Grad in Anapa. After downing Denmark in straight sets on Tuesday, the group mentored by head coach Sergey Shlyapnikov got past Austria 3:1 to keep a perfect record after two days of action.

In the other match of the day, Montenegro edged Denmark 3:1 (20-25, 32-20, 25-20, and 25-13) to claim their first win in the competition after losing to Greece on the opening day. Montenegro caught a bad start losing the first set but brought it home after a terrific fight in the second (32-30) to control the game in the third and fourth for a 3:1 win.
