The central match of Round 16 of the 2021/22 Men’s Superliga Parimatch was played in Moscow but it didn’t fully justify the hopes of all volleyball fans – in a ’stubborn’ struggle, Lokomotiv downed the hosts Dinamo. The players of the Novosibirsk club showed character, coming back from 1-2 in the sets. Why did the encounter fail to justify the hopes even though it had 5 sets? Because these two teams, both pretending to win the title, made close to 100 errors combined (Dinamo 50; Lokomotiv 47)!

The most productive player of Lokomotiv was Sergey Savin (15 points). Lokomotiv remained the vice-leader, reducing the gap in relation to Zenit-Kazan to 5 points (43-38). Lokomotiv have one match less played than the Kazan side. As for Dinamo, they fell to 4th place in the charts.

Dinamo’s position was overtaken by Zenit St. Petersburg who recorded the 7th successive win in the league. They beat Belogorie with a score of 3-1 and are now one point ahead of Dinamo (31-30).
