Russia is doing everything to defend the gold at the Olympic Games, so domestic volleyball federation decided to make some drastic steps. There might be no more international transfers for Russian players during this transfer period!!!

Russian Volleyball Federation announced that it won’t issue any more international transfer certificate for the season 2015/16, except in special cases! It means that Russian players won’t be able to just leave the country and play somewhere abroad without a special permission!

Those special permissions might be granted only to the players which would play in strong competitions and therefore have a chance to improve the game before joining the national team.

When your country has the best and the the strongest domestic league and players are paid very well, why should they leave.

some russians played abroad and it doesn’t matter what league they have, changing country can make you grow up as a player. each league has own standards that can improve your skills.
