In a game versus Zenit Kazan, in Round 25 of the Russian Men’s volleyball Superliga, a 41-year-old Sergey and his son, a 16-year-old Pavel, played in the line-up of Belogorie for the first time.
“Pasha (Pavel Tetyukhin) still grows, and has a lot to learn. There were mistakes in his playing, but it’s impossible to be without them. This is normal. I didn’t see panic in Pasha’s eyes during the match with Zenit. I was really worried about him, how he will feel on the court, but he’s a guy with strong nerves. I’m completely happy with the way he played with Zenit. Pasha did well in every way, in all elements. Wonders have not been expected, but he has calmness, character. Many players with great experience don’t have this. This is a very important quality for the athlete. He played worthily,” Sergey stated.
He added that Pavel will no more play for senior team of Belogorie this season. He was only pulled out for a couple of days from the Russian U19 National Team for the match against Zenit.
