The head coach of the Peruvian Women’s National Team has spoken publicly for the first time after being a victim of the two gunmen in Lima, the capital of Peru, who robbed him in a taxi.
„God was with me! It was only a big scare! Yesterday’s incident does not change all the happiness that I have lived here! Go Peru!“ Luizomar wrote on Twitter.
The Peruvian Volleyball Federation (FPV) confirmed that the Brazilian coach was assaulted and asked all relevant institutions, including local police in Lima, to find the belongings that were stolen from Luizomar as soon as possible.
„It is extremely urgent to find his personal documents and passport because this may harm the scheduled work of our national team,“ FPV published.
The Peruvian NT is about to start preparing for the South American Qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan, which they will host in October.
