A team of coach Guidetti needed only three sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-23) to defeat Eczacibasi and secured the fifth match who will decide champions of Turkey.
O.K. we are not saying that Vakifbank didn’t deserve this victory, that is more than obvious, but that Eczacibsi played so poorly…During the whole match, they scored 3 blocks and 1 ace and only Tijana Bošković scored double (13 points). When you look at the statistic: Beyza Arici 4, Hande Baladin 4, Rachael Adams 2, Büsra Cansu Kilicli 2, Jordan Larson-Burbach 8, Maja Ognjenović 0 …you can only conclude that they played below their level. Especially if we know that they played for the title!
On the other side, Vakifbank dominated in the block. They put 12 blocks in three sets and Lonneke Slöetjes was the best scorer with 16 points (60% in attack) while the others played just how much they needed. For example, Zhu Ting scored 13 points but the attacks were 22-8 or Milena Rašić 6-1!
We’re sorry we have to say this, but this was not final.
Eczacibaşi-Vakifbank 0-3
