Giovanni Guidetti is a highly popular and acknowledged volleyball figure in Turkey, and a confirmation of that came once again.

Last month, Guidetti was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Turkey Women’s Volleyball National Team. But his influence on volleyball and sports in general in the country is huge and will remain so. The Italian expert, who’s still residing in Turkey as he commands VakıfBank, got an award that’s not really connected to volleyball but reflects how much he’s loved in the country. The Equality Award was assigned to Guidetti during the GQ Turkey “Men of the Year 2022” awards ceremony.

GQ is an American monthly magazine, existed since 1931, and has branches in numerous nations worldwide. It’s situated in New York City and focuses on men’s fashion, style, and culture, while it also includes articles on literature, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, and celebrities’ sports.
