- Colombia’s Epic Comeback: Despite starting on the back foot, Colombia made a stunning comeback against Peru, concluding their group stage with a 3-2 victory. The scores were 18-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, and 15-10. Dayana Segovia stood out with 24 points, supported by Ana Karina Grajales and Amanda Coneo, both with 21 points. Peru’s Ysabella Sánchez netted 22 points, followed by Karla Ortiz with 18, and Flavia Montes with 10. With this win, Colombia, boasting a 3-1 record, advances to face Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals.
- United States Dominates: The United States displayed their prowess, defeating Canada with a clean 3-0 sweep. Scores were 25-17, 25-20, and 25-18.
