In the latest series of Pool B men’s FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Qualifiers, the United States continued its winning streak, defeating Slovenia 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19). The victory bolstered their record to 5-0 and secured a 15 point total. Matthew Anderson topped the game’s scoring chart with 16 points, closely followed by Torey Defalco’s 13. Despite missing their captain Tine Urnaut, Slovenia’s Nik Mujanovic, Alen Pajenk, and Klemen Cebulj contributed double-digit scores.

Host country Japan, battling for a chance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, secured an emphatic win against Serbia, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-22). The victory has pushed Japan ahead of Slovenia into second place in the pool standings. Japan’s Yuji Nishida was the standout player, scoring 16 points, with teammates Ran Takahashi and Yuki Ishikawa adding 15 and 14 points, respectively.

In earlier matchups, Türkiye edged Finland in a gripping 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 15-8) encounter, led by the Lagumdzija brothers. Egypt made a stellar comeback against Tunisia, clinching a 3-2 (15-25, 13-25, 25-21, 29-27, 15-9) win with Reda Haikal shining as the top scorer with 30 points.
